FCC Form 502 (Due 2/1/06): Numbering Resource Utilization/Forecast must be filed by carriers that receive numbering resources both from the numbering or pooling administrator and from another carrier, or that are rural carriers in some but not all areas. FCC CPNI Compliance Certificate (Due 2/6/06): Certificate and summary due from all wireless and wireline telecommunications carriers addressing protection of privacy of customer proprietary network information ("CPNI"). This is the first year the FCC has required this certificate and summary to be filed. Contact us for more information or help with filing. October 7, 2005 - FCC Form 499Q is due November 1, 2005. September 23, 2005 - The FCC has released its much-anticipated Order creating a new [de-]regulatory framework for broadband Internet access services offered by wireline facilities-based providers. Kris gave three presentations during the show. The first addressed the 4.9 GHz public safety band and opportunities for WISPs. The second described the new spectrum being cleared by the FCC for WISPs and the regulatory conditions for such use, and the third updated WISPs on the FCC’s requirements for E911 and CALEA as they relate to providing VoIP services. On Tuesday August 16 at the Wi-nog (Wireless Network Operators Group) Conference in Park City, Utah, Kris Twomey spoke and answered questions about regulatory and legal issues facing independent service providers.
